Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back Jorelyn Carabalí has joined 2026 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) expansion team Boston Legacy on a permanent deal.
Legacy announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
The 28-year-old Colombian international has signed a two-year deal Stateside with the option to extend further.
Carabalí joined former club Brighton & Hove Albion back in summer 2023. The defender went on to make close to 50 appearances for The Seagulls in all competitions. The player has struggled for opportunities this season and she will now start out on a new adventure in the NWSL with Boston Legacy.
After joining Boston Legacy, Carabalí said “For me, the NWSL is one of the top leagues in the world, and joining a club like Boston and being part of building a new history in 2026 fills me with pride and excitement.
“Being able to play for Boston in this new chapter of my life motivates me to continue growing and give my best for this club, just like my teammates and our amazing coach, Filipa Patão. Thank you everyone for believing in me.”
Carabalí will play her football in the United States for the first time in 2026. She previously played in Colombia and Brazil prior to her move to Brighton & Hove Albion.
