WR Andrew Marsh returning to Michigan Football for 2026 season

BREAKING: According to Sam Webb, Michigan Football wide receiver Andrew Marsh is returning to Ann Arbor for the 2026 season! STORY:

Head coach Kyle Whittingham just got another huge boost for his inaugural team in Ann Arbor. According to a report from The Michigan Insider’s Sam Webb on Tuesday evening, wide receiver Andrew Marsh has “come to an agreement” to return for his sophomore season.

The former Top-100 four-star was a huge win for the Wolverines on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class. He picked Michigan over schools like Texas, USC, Washington and others, while also racking up other offers from Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, LSU, Penn State, Nebraska, Oklahoma and many more. He also helped recruit Underwood to Ann Arbor when he was still committed to LSU.

Marsh had just one reception in the month of September, but he really got going once the calendar flipped to October. From that month on, Marsh had the most receiving yards in the Big Ten Conference (621). He finished the season with 48 catches for 661 yards and five touchdowns, while also running in a score early in the season.

Most notably, Marsh had a career day at Wrigley Field against Northwestern, going off for 12 receptions and 189 yards, including this remarkable grab on the game-winning drive.

Marsh also played a crucial role on special teams once the Wolverines benched Semaj Morgan and turned to Marsh late in the season. He had four punt returns for 45 yards, but more importantly, he returned 17 kickoffs for 378 yards with a long of 51 (vs Texas in the Citrus Bowl).

This is huge news for the Wolverines, and comes just one day after Underwood announced he would be returning to Michigan for the 2026 season as well. Whittingham can now focus on the retention efforts of Cole Sullivan, Jake Guarnera and other Wolverines that have entered the transfer portal over the past few days.
