Chargers sign former Ravens OL Ben Cleveland

The Chargers brought in former Ravens OL Ben Cleveland after he was released by Baltimore.

On Monday, the Chargers announced the signing of former Ravens offensive lineman Ben Cleveland to their practice squad. The 2021 third-round pick out of Georgia has spent most of the past five seasons with the Ravens before being released on January 1st following a return from a three-game suspension.

Over his first two seasons in Baltimore, Cleveland started seven games while seeing time in 37 total contests. From the start of the 2024 season until he was released, he saw time in 27 games but failed to record any starts.

At a massive 6’6 and 355 pounds, Cleveland immediately looks the part of what Jim Harbaugh prefers along his offensive line. In a normal year, Cleveland is a great backup-level player for the Chargers. This year, and in this very situation, he could very well step into the starting lineup immediately as long as he’s able to learn the offense fast enough before Sunday’s wild card matchup with the Patriots.
