Calum McFarlane to remain in charge of Chelsea against Fulham as well — report

At least one more game for the interim head coach

Calum McFarlane will put his 100 per cent unbeaten record as Chelsea interim head coach to the test on Wednesday, with the news that he’s set to remain in charge of the first-team (at least) until then.

As per reports, Liam Rosenior, the expected replacement for Enzo Maresca, was already in London on Monday, but has now flown back to Strasbourg, presumably to say his goodbyes and try to leave the club in decent order. He’s still the only candidate in the frame as our next manager, so this is likely just a bit of formality. I don’t imagine he’ll be able to do or say anything to appease the angry fans of RC Strasbourg, but he might get credit for trying.

With McFarlane (and his staff) still in charge and busy with preparations for Wednesday’s game against Fulham, it’s not quite clear how the under-21s will deal with their PL International Cup match against Benfica on the same day.
