LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Webberville is off to its first 7-0 start since 2021 after a 68-56 win over Perry on Saturday night.

The Spartans were led by Dominic Driver’s 21 points.

The game was tied at the half before Tony Rhodes’ Spartans pulled away in the fourth quarter.

“Give our hats off to Perry,” said Rhodes. “They were aggressive from the get go and they were ready for us tonight and I think it was just us settling down, I really do. I don’t think it was anything else but us being structured and more organized than we were in the beginning.”

Webberville is back in action on January 5th when it faces St. Charles.

Up next for Perry is a matchup with Laingsburg on January 6th.

Also on Saturday night, Springport earned a 47-30 win over Olivet. With the win, the Spartans of Springport improved to a game over .500.

Springport will be back in action on January 8th when it takes on Bronson.

For Olivet, the Eagles are back in action on January 6th when they take on Ionia at home.
