Bayern Munich News: Is FC Bayern battling FC Barcelona, AC Milan for Juventus star; Real Madrid to outduel Bayern for stud midfielder?; and MORE!

FC Bayern could have a blockbuster move up its sleeve for the summer of 2026.

Is Bayern preparing a shock move for Vlahović? (Barca Universal)

Just about everyone is expecting Harry Kane to ink a contract extension with Bayern Munich, but are the Bavarians already seeking a striker to back-up the English and be the eventual successor? Maybe.

Per this report, Bayern Munich is competing with FC Barcelona and AC Milan for Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović:

According to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Barcelona are set to face competition from teams like AC Milan and Bayern Munich, who also want Vlahovic. As reported previously, Barcelona have already made moves in their pursuit of the Serbian striker.

Indeed, they have spoken on several occasions with Vlahovic’s entourage and believe in the possibility of reaching an agreement, and then in the green light for the operation.

The salary figures could remain at the level the Serbian currently earns in Turin, around €12 million per year, despite the recent injury and the time that will be needed to see the best version of Vlahovic again.

As per the report, the Catalan club are pushing, Bayern Munich are watching, and AC Milan remain in the background. That is the current starting grid in an open race.

However, the Barcelona effect has its own strength and appeal. Playing in La Liga, with a world-class club and under constant attention, would represent a new challenge to win for a player as ambitious as he is.

Bayern Munich has been linked to the Serb many times in the past, including last November. It feels like a contract extension for Kane would be incentive for Vlahović to look elsewhere — he is 25-years-old and an established starter. However, Bayern Munich might have something up its sleeve.

As doubtful as that might seem for the summer of 2026, we will keep an eye on it. The smart money here says that he ends up with either AC Milan or FC Barcelona.

Fulham chasing Pepi (TEAMtalk)

With Bayern Munich loanee Jonah Kusi-Asare potentially leaving the club, Fulham FC could be eyeing USMNT striker and former FC Augsburg signing Ricardo Pepi as an option to bolster its attack:

Fulham are facing an uphill battle in their quest to sign Ricardo Pepi from PSV Eindhoven, with sources telling TEAMtalk the two conditions for a January transfer to happen.

Pepi has been told that PSV want to keep him until the end of the season, even as they wait for Fulham to come back with a renewed bid.

Fulham made an initial £26million (€30m, $35m) proposal for the USA international striker, which was rejected by the Dutch giants, and they are now looking at a second offer.

Man…remember when FC Augsburg (!?) spent a whopping €16.4 million to get Pepi? That turned out to be a monumental mistake for Die Fuggerstädter, but the striker has turned his career around.

Smit set to join Real in summer? (Ekrem Konur)

Real Madrid could have the edge on Bayern Munich and other clubs in the race for AZ Alkmaar midfielder Kees Smit:

🚨 🆕 #RealMadrid 🇳🇱
Kees Smit is keen to join Real Madrid next summer.

📌 Madrid’s scouting team want him in the squad.

💰 AZ Alkmaar demand more than €60M, with talk the fee could reach €75M.

👀 Premier League giants are also showing interest in the midfielder.

Kane has best shot efficiency in BuLi (Bundesliga.com)

Yeah, Bayern Munich star Harry Kane is pretty good. The striker has the highest shot efficiency in the league:

1. Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), +7.42

The Bayern forward is the very definition of ruthlessness. He has taken 54 shots at goal in the Bundesliga so far this term, of which 19 have found the back of the net.

However, statistically only 11.58 of those were expected to be goals, giving the 32-year-old a shot efficiency of +7.42, which is by far and away the best in the division.

Serie A teams eyeing Drăgușin (Fabrizio Romano)

Tottenham Hotspur center-back Radu Drăgușin was once a primary target for Bayern Munich.

Maybe he should have chosen Bavaria, as it has not been a great run for him with Spurs. Now, he could be headed away on loan:

🚨🇷🇴 Italian clubs are keen on signing Radu Dragusin on initial loan from Spurs in January.

Thomas Frank: “Right now, just so happy to see him come on the pitch having been out for nine or 10 months. For him it’s a massive step. That’s the most important thing”.

Rodrygo wants out (ESPN)

Does anyone in Real Madrid’s attack want to stay? Now, Rodrygo might want out:

Real Madrid winger Rodrygo wants to leave Real Madrid this winter, according to Diario Sport. The 24-year-old is reported to have begun talks with “two top agents” amid hopes of accelerating his departure from the Bernabéu, but Los Blancos are unlikely to consider offers until the summer following the recent injury to striker Kylian Mbappé. Manchester City and Arsenal are said to be the two most likely destinations for Rodrygo, but Liverpool, who remain on the lookout for a long-term successor for Mohamed Salah, also can’t be ruled out.

Xabi Alonso is having a season, so far, eh?
