The NFC West and the conferences top seed will be decided by the outcome of this game between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. It’s winner take all. The loser will end up the five or six seed. The 49ers do have a couple of key starters on offense who are banged up in George Kittle and Ricky Pearsall, but you have to think they will play given the importance of the playoff bye would bring.
Kickoff is set for Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. Mile High time at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California and will air on ABC.
My Prediction
According to FanDuel, the Seahawks are surprising 2.5-point favorites on the road against their division rival 49ers. I was going to pick Seattle to win this game until I saw this line. Playoff contender home teams being underdogs at home can be a massive motivator. I expect them to come out feisty in this game and ultimately win as underdogs to secure the NFC’s top seed.
Prediction: 49ers 30, Seahawks 27.
