FC Bayern is getting more out of its campus.
One of the Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund was brought to the club was for his expertise in working with academies and developing young players.
Clearly, his impact is being felt at Bayern Munich as the club could be on the verge of producing a few players, who could make it with the club, including phenom Lennart Karl.
For Freund, the progress in the academy has been a joy to watch.
“It’s a very important project and a very important foundation for FC Bayern. We’re investing a lot of know-how and a lot of money in our huge campus. Our big goal for the next few years is to consistently deliver top-notch work, and we want to be a top academy and develop good footballers. For all our size and brand, FC Bayern can’t compete with the top English clubs when it comes to transfer fees. That’s why we’ll find our own way, and I’m convinced that some very good young players will emerge from the campus in the coming years,” Freund told Servus Nachrichten (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
The benefits of Bayern Munich having a productive campus will be seen and felt on the pitch and in the club’s coffers. Let’s hope players like Karl and Aleksandar Pavlović are just the start of a flow of young players into the first team.
