Alabama in the NFL: Derrick Henry headlines Week 17 standouts

Former Alabama running back Derrick Henry was among the many Crimson Tide players who made an impact during NFL Week 17.

The NFL Week 17 slate has now officially passed, meaning that there is only one week remaining in the 2025 regular season.

Because of this, there were a few teams who officially clinched playoff berths this past weekend with victories, while others now enter a must-win scenario in the regular season's final week.

For some of those same teams, former Alabama players were at the forefront of their success during Week 17, with a former Heisman Trophy leading the way for the Crimson Tide in the NFL this past weekend.

A big slate overall, especially on the defensive side of the ball, let's take a look at five of Alabama's top performers during NFL Week 17.

Derrick Henry, Running Back - Baltimore Ravens

Henry was arguably the top performing player across the entire Week 17 NFL slate, leading the Baltimore Ravens to a 41-24 win over the Green Bay Packers. Averaging six yards per carry, Henry rushed for 216 total yards and four touchdowns on 36 carries.

Will Reichard, Kicker - Minnesota Vikings

Reichard was key for Minnesota in the Vikings' 23-10 win over the Detroit Lions, making all three field goal attempts, as well as both extra points. The former Alabama kicker's field goal makes came from 52, 56, and 42 yards out.

Xavier McKinney, Safety - Green Bay Packers

Out of a week loaded with impressive defensive performances, there were likely few better than that of McKinney in the Packers 41-24 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. McKinney led the Packers with 13 total tackles, six of which were solo.

Henry To'oTo'o, Inside Linebacker - Houston Texans

To'oTo'o enjoyed a big showing in Houston's 20-16 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, leading the Texans with 12 total tackles. Of those 12 tackles, five were solo for To'oTo'o, while the inside linebacker also had one TFL.

Malachi Moore, Safety - New York Jets

Rounding out this week's standouts is Moore, who was one of the bright spots in the New York Jets' 42-10 loss to the New England Patriots. Moore finished with seven total tackles, four of which were solo, along with one TFL, one pass defense, and even caught a pass for three yards.
