Liverpool Transfer News: Electric star asks club to ACCEPT offer

One electric star has now asked for a transfer offer to be accepted. Liverpool might now have a deal here.

Liverpool have been as busy as anyone in this transfer window. They've broken their transfer record for Florian Wirtz, and paid huge fees for two new full-backs.

Hugo Ekitike is expected to join very shortly, too, in a huge deal. The Reds have not been shy about upgrading their squad if they think there's a chance to.

That includes sales. Trent Alexander-Arnold left for a transfer fee, somehow, while Caoimhin Kelleher and Jarell Quansah both moved on.

Now the attention turns to attack, where Liverpool are expected to sell some stars. Darwin Nunez is one of those - he's been linked to several clubs now, even if a deal is proving difficult.

And then there's Luis Diaz. That's a complicated one as Liverpool aren't all that keen to sell the Colombian.

On the other hand, there's plenty of interest in him. And now a deal might be getting over the line.

Luis Diaz wants offer accepted

Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra reports that Luis Diaz has asked Liverpool to accept Bayern Munich’s latest offer. The caveat here is that he wants it accepted if the Reds aren’t willing to upgrade his contract.

It certainly doesn’t look likely that he’ll get the deal he wants. Bayern’s new offer, reported to be around €75m, is a massive one and we imagine Liverpool will in fact accept this.

Diaz is now 28 and actively wanting to leave the club. There’s already an elite left-winger at the club in Cody Gakpo, too, while Liverpool’s asking price was always said to be around €80m.
