Mikel Arteta has said that Declan Rice could be fit for the match against Bournemouth on Saturday but it depends on whether the swelling on his knee injury goes down in time. Rice missed the 4-1 win over Aston Villa with the problem he picked up in the win over Brighton on Saturday, when he played as a makeshift right-back, but he is not expected to be out for a long period of time. Arteta was asked if the England International could be fit for the game at Bournemouth at 17:30 GMT on Saturday and did not rule it out.

"Depends, so that swelling has to come right down for him to have the chance to function," he said.
"He wasn't able to do that today yet, he's improving, but let's see what happens in the next couple of days."
Arsenal are five points clear at the top of the table after their win, with second-placed Manchester City next in action on New Year's Day when they take on Sunderland.
