Kentucky is now up to eight known transfer portal departures as roster movement accelerates ahead of the January window.
Kentucky Football added two more names to its growing transfer portal list. Wide receiver Troy Stellato and defensive tackle Austin Ramsey are both expected to move on, bringing continued roster turnover for the Wildcats this offseason.
According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Stellato plans to enter the transfer portal with one year of eligibility remaining. The former Clemson slot receiver arrived in Lexington with experience and production but never found a consistent role during his lone season at Kentucky. Stellato appeared in four games for the Wildcats, catching one pass for four yards against Texas, while also getting limited opportunities as a punt returner.
Stellato’s most productive stretches came during his time at Clemson, where he totaled 66 career receptions for 604 yards and two touchdowns. His best season came in 2023, when he caught 38 passes for 321 yards and a score. That year ended with a strong performance against Kentucky in the Gator Bowl, where he recorded four catches for 42 yards. Injuries, however, followed Stellato throughout his career and again limited his availability in Lexington.
Kentucky is also set to lose depth in the trenches, as defensive tackle Austin Ramsey plans to enter the portal, according to Max Olson of ESPN via his representative at Legacy NIL. The 6-foot-4, 303-pound redshirt sophomore played 137 snaps this season at nose guard, recording five tackles and one sack. While his role was limited, Ramsey provided valuable rotational depth along the defensive front.
Stellato and Ramsey join a growing list of Kentucky players planning to explore new opportunities once the transfer portal officially opens Friday, Jan. 2, and runs through Jan. 16. Those players include linebacker Landyn Watson, EDGE Steven Soles Jr., quarterback Stone Saunders, wide receivers David Washington Jr. and Preston Bowman, cornerback Nasir Addison, and Ramsey.
As the portal continues to reshape rosters nationwide, Kentucky’s staff will now look to replace experience at both receiver and the interior defensive line heading into the offseason.
