ESPN's 'College GameDay' will be attending a third straight Alabama game for their CFP quarterfinals location
ESPN's "College GameDay" will be attending one quarterfinal game in the College Football Playoff. GameDay is set to attend the Rose Bowl game (kickoff at 4 p.m. ET) on Thursday, Jan. 1. The No. 9 seed Alabama Crimson Tide play the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers in the Rose Bowl, which is one of four playoff quarterfinals.
On New Year's Day, GameDay's coverage will begin at 9 a.m. and run until noon ET as usual. The show will be held in the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.
GameDay opted to attend the Rose Bowl over the Sugar Bowl (Georgia vs. Ole Miss), Cotton Bowl (Ohio State vs. Miami) and Orange Bowl (Oregon vs. Texas Tech). GameDay could not go wrong with choosing where to go for quarterfinals, which are all expected to be very competitive games.
Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, Nick Saban and Pat McAfee will all be in Pasadena for GameDay's show live from the Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl will mark the third straight Alabama game that GameDay has attended.
