Dutch speed skating great Jutta Leerdam suffered a fall in the trials for her country leading up to the Winter Olympics.

It has been a rough stretch for Jake Paul and his fiancee Jutta Leerdam, the Dutch speed skating great. Paul suffered a knockout loss to Anthony Joshua earlier in December. Leerdam took her own fall as she tumbled during a race in the Olympic Trials while trying to qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. “It’s really, really hard. And I know this is her whole life. Her whole dream. And everything she’s worked so hard for. My heart is broken,” Paul said. “This sport is so bizarre. She could just show up at the starting line and go again. And she had such a fast opening.” Leerdam's Olympic hopes are in the hands of the national selection committee, which will make a decision in January.
