Manchester United will be back at Old Trafford for their next Premier League match on Tuesday, taking on Wolverhampton Wanderers for the second time this December in the reverse fixture against the team that is still bottom of the table on a historically low two points.

When the sides last met on Dec. 8 at Molineux, it took a second-half battering by the Reds to put Wolves away after a halftime equalizer by Bellegarde gave them some life. Bruno Fernandes bagged a brace, and Bryan Mbeumo and Mason Mount added a goal apiece to round out the 4-1 victory on the road.

However, it could be the case that neither goalscorer is available this time around.

Mbeumo and Bruno are both out, with the former representing Cameroon at the African Cup of Nations and Bruno suffering from a muscle injury sustained in a defeat to Aston Villa a week ago. Mount joined the growing injury list in a 1-0 win over Newcastle United on Boxing Day, taken off at halftime for Jack Fletcher.

Along with defenders Harry Maguire and Matthijs De Ligt and midfielder Kobbie Maino, Mount is doubtful to return, per Ruben Amorim himself.

“I don’t know how Mase is going to be for that game,” Amorim replied in his Monday press conference. “I think Kobbie Mainoo is not going to be ready, Bruno is not going to be ready, Matta is not going to be ready, Harry is not going to be ready, so I don’t think we are going to have more players.”

Amorim half-jokingly remarked that Bruno may return to training in the new year, and that he has been pusing to return already, and noted Mainoo is also close to returning. He did make sure to clarify again that no matter how much Bruno pushes, he won’t be ready to return on Tuesday.

As for United’s opponents, Wolves will be without midfielder Andre after picking up his fifth yellow card in a 2-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield last weekend. He joins the unavailable Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (goalscorer against United last time out), Marshall Munetsi and Rodrigo Gomes on the sidelines. Emmanuel Agbadou and Tawanda Chirewa are still at AFCON and will also miss the match.

Manager Rob Edwards showed confidence that Yerson Mosquera and Santiago Bueno will both remain available. Both players left the game against Liverpool with knocks.

United and Wolves will kick off on Tuesday night at Old Trafford at 8 p.m. local time, 3 p.m. on the East Coast of the U.S.
