Boreham Wood midfielders Tom White and Erico Sousa will be out "for a good while" because of injuries, chairman Danny Hunter has confirmed.

White, who has made 22 appearances this season had an operation on a hamstring injury just before Christmas and is now on a "10-week rehabilitation countdown" for a possible return to action.

Sousa suffered a knee injury in their 4-0 Boxing Day win at Wealdstone, a result which put Wood second in the National League table.

He will have a scan on Wednesday and Hunter said: "At this point we must plan for the worst and hope for the best."

Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Jon Benton has left the club by mutual agreement to pursue a career as an accountant.

Benton joined Boreham Wood from Solihull Moors in 2024 and played eight games this season, the last against York City in October.
