While World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is without question the best player in golf after his win at The Open, he is still far behind when it comes to popularity in comparison to Tiger Woods.

Woods still holds the record for the most total weeks as the world's No. 1 player (683), but is far past his days of dominance as he hasn't played in a PGA Tour event since last July's British Open. He did make an appearance in TMRW Sports' TGL back in February but ended up rupturing his Achilles in March.

Although he is rehabbing his injury and has been entrenched in wedding rumors with Vannesa Trump, he has also been supporting his 16-year-old son, Charlie Woods, on the links.

He was spotted at the U.S. Junior Amateur at Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas on Monday, and fans are thrilled to see him supporting his son and out in public.

"Can’t wait til he’s back," wrote one user.

"Big Cat is lurking," said another.

"That man can still win a golf tournament," predicted another.

"Let’s go Charlie," commented one fan.

"Tiger rdy," said another user.

While the elder Woods is a 15-time Major champion, the younger Woods is just getting started. This marks the second time he has qualified for the U.S. Junior, and as of last month, the 2027 recruit can officially communicate with college programs.

Charlie Woods is looking for a much better outing this year, as he shot a 22-over last year.

Although his father is in a support-from-the-sidelines mode, fans remain hopeful that he'll make a return.
