The Packers are locked into their playoff spot after their Week 17 loss.
The Green Bay Packers received a Christmas present from the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday when they defeated the Detroit Lions. The lions’ loss clinched a playoff spot for the Packers, but we’re not done by a long shot.
Green Bay’s loss on Saturday night means they can no longer win the NFC North and that they are stuck in the seventh seed. It wouldn’t shock me if the Packers rested their starters since they can’t impact their playoff seeding.
