The Lightning blueliner has ably stepped in for the injured Victor Hedman
On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Adam Fox, NYR @ NYI (97% rostered) - FanDuel $6,200
Fox's inclusion in the column is pure projection. Sidelined since November 29 with what is believed to be a separated shoulder, Fox has missed the required 10 games and 24 days following his placement on Long-Term Injured Reserve, enabling his possible return to action Saturday. New York's power play has been brutal without Fox, who might struggle a little once he returns, but his presence could have a galvanizing effect on the lineup and man-advantage attack.
Bowen Byram, BUF vs. BOS (97% rostered) - FanDuel $4,600
Byram headed into the holiday break opening and closing the scoring Tuesday with goals while also adding an assist. He sits with eight tallies in 36 contests, three shy of the career-high he posted in 2023-24. Byram is skating on the Sabres' third defensive pairing but sees copious power play time on ice, where he has notched three of his 17 points on the season.
Darren Raddysh, TB @ FLA (76% rostered) - FanDuel $6,200
I am kicking myself for not going the extra dollar of two during free agency bidding to pick up Raddysh, who has more than ably stood in twice for the injured Victor Hedman. Since Hedman landed back on IR on December 11, Raddysh has racked up three goals and seven points in six games. On the season, he's already set a new personal best with eight goals, tied his career high with nine power-play points (four goals, five helpers), and on pace for a new high in points.
Brock Faber, MIN @ WPG (83% rostered) - FanDuel $5,800
An ancillary benefit from the acquisition of Quinn Hughes by the Wild has been the increased production by Faber. We all felt that Faber's play would improve skating next to Hughes and his output should be positively impacted, but his point total has risen substantially following the trade. Since the addition of Hughes, Faber has added a goal and four assists with 14 shots on net while also contributing defensively with 16 blocks in six contests.
Drew Doughty, LA vs. ANA (45% rostered) - FanDuel $4,800
Doughty is no longer the fantasy defensive weapon he once was, though that doesn't mean he has no value. While his overall ice time is down, including power play time on ice, he has remained mildly productive, when healthy, notching 12 points in 29 contests. Doughty still sees significant action on the man-advantage but has ceded the first pair spot to Brandt Clarke, who is more expensive in DFS than Doughty, making the latter a bit of a bargain.
