As he told L’Équipe, Amir Richardson has made a move to formative club OGC Nice a priority this January. The Moroccan is out of favour at Fiorentina and, since that interview with L’Équipe, he has been left out of the squad entirely.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, talks between Fiorentina and Nice are ongoing. La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Jérémie Boga could now be involved in the deal. The Ivory Coast international has not played for Le Gym since the end of November, when he was the victim of an angry confrontation with the club’s own fans. He has since been on sick leave, and he is looking to leave the club during the upcoming January transfer window.
Fiorentina could now offer Boga a route out of the Ligue 1 club, with Richardson, who has emerged as a key target for Les Aiglons, moving in the opposite direction in a swap deal.
