Liverpool have the chance to end the day in fourth place with a win, not to mention a third league win on the trot, and unbeaten in 7. All in all, not bad considering the dire stretch of results from the end of September to the end of November, and being in the midst of a deepening injury crisis.
Liverpool, however, still need to win. Standing in their way is a team making a solid run at being the worst Premier League side ever, Wolves, who sit on a paltry 2 points, with just 9 goals scored in 17 matches. Woof. If this isn’t a banker, I don’t know what is.
