For the 2026 NFL draft order, the Cleveland Browns floor is set and the ceiling is the top overall pick
With two games left in the 2025 NFL season, the Cleveland Browns are clearly in 2026 NFL draft mode. The Pittsburgh Steelers could end up ruining the Browns draft plans in Week 17, as the AFC North playoff picture could be settled before the game even kicks off. We had two games on Christmas Day that could have some impact on Cleveland’s draft order.
Browns 2026 NFL mock drafts and talk of where QB Sheduer Sanders will fit in the team’s plan are the primary points of interest for fans at this point.
Before the start of Week 17, Cleveland was slotted with the third overall pick and a strong chance to select at the top of the 2026 NFL draft order. Even if the Browns win their final two games of the season to finish with a 5-12 record, Cleveland would at worst be picking ninth overall.
Even that is a little low as the primary tiebreaker, Strength of Schedule, would likely have the Browns selecting eighth overall.
On the day after Christmas, two teams have five victories (New Orleans Saints, Cincinnati Bengals), with the Kansas City Chiefs holding the tenth overall pick with their 6-10 record. That places Cleveland’s 2026 NFL draft order just inside the Top 10. A loss this week would mean the team is locked into a top-seven pick.
The Browns will be picking somewhere between the first and ninth pick in the upcoming NFL draft, with the remainder of the Week 17 games impacting that even further.
Where do you think the Browns will be selecting in the 2026 NFL draft?
