Speaking on El Sanedrín Ilustrado on Cadena Ser Spanish radio, Manuel Jabois assessed Xabi Alonso’s first six months in charge of Real Madrid and focused on one central issue.
“I still don’t know what Xabi Alonso’s style of play is,” Jabois said, arguing that Madrid lack a recognizable identity despite remaining alive in all competitions.
He pointed to squad construction as part of the issue. “Not getting that brain in midfield, beyond physical exuberance, has hurt them a lot,” he said, highlighting Madrid’s inability to control games consistently.
