The Badgers have been linked to an SEC transfer wide receiver.
The Wisconsin Badgers are heading towards an important offseason, where they’re expected to field a large transfer portal class after a lighter 2026 recruiting class.
The Badgers have big needs at several positions on both sides of the ball, but the group where they might add the most is at wide receiver, where Wisconsin is losing seven scholarship players.
Wisconsin is going to need multiple starters at wide receiver, but they also need numbers at the position with the amount of players they’re losing.
One potential target? Oklahoma Sooners transfer Jayden Gibson, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
Gibson hasn’t played in the last two years after a breakout sophomore campaign in 2023. He missed the entire 2024 season due to injury and then left the Sooners in October of 2025 after not seeing playing time to begin the year.
He was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2022 and played in nine games as a freshman, mainly in a special teams role. Then, he saw some action as a reserve in 2023, having his best year so far with 14 catches and 345 yards.
At 6’5, Gibson could provide a different element for Wisconsin’s offense. South Carolina was also reported as an early team to watch.
The Badgers need receiving talent. We’ll see who they ultimately get, but it seems Gibson could be an early target.
