Egypt teammate defends Mo Salah

Writing for The Athletic, Simon Hughes relayed his experience of Salah with the Egyptian national team, painting a picture of the forward getting special treatment whilst on international duty.

Mohamed Salah largely gets what he wants with Egypt, speaks when he likes, the world rotates around him and everyone accepts it.” Hughes stated.

“It probably feeds into why he thinks he can occasionally stamp his feet at Liverpool.”

These observations come just a couple of weeks after Salah told the media he felt like he had been thrown under the bus by the club.

In response to Hughes’ post on X sharing his article, Sam Morsey jumped to Salah’s defence.
