MT. PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – After guiding Northwood Academy to a dominating win in the SCISA 4A State Championship, Chargers head man Johnny Waters has been named the Blitz on 2 Coach of the Year.
Waters took over the program three years ago when NA was coming off a 29 game winless streak, he turned them into state champs three years later. Northwood’s third title in school history, first since 2014.
Johnny becomes the first head coach to win state at two different Lowcountry schools.
