FC Bayern might not get a lot done in January…
Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl was very blunt when asked about adding any players during the winter transfer window — and his answer might not be well-received by some fans looking for the club to bolster its roster.
“We’re not looking outside because we have our squad. We’ve communicated clearly that three injured players are returning and are like new signings for us. That’s what we’ve focused on. Sure, we can prepare things for the summer in winter. But we won’t be bringing in any external players in January,” said Eberl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia)
Bayern Munich is well-equipped in all areas of the squad at this point. Should the team suffer any major injuries between now and the end of January, though, Eberl could reconsider his stance. Otherwise, it still figures to be a quiet period.
