Watch Carson Brown try to beat the Pastranaland lap record set on a 500cc 2-stroke Suzuki, aka the RMZilla, aboard a Stark Varg.

When Carson Brown releases a batch of videos, like he has been doing all week, it's next to impossible to get any work done. Now throw in the fact that he's at Pastranaland, has his hands on Travis Pastrana's custom-built 500cc 2-stroke RMZilla. Flick through the videos, and you'll see that the RMZilla is faster around the compound than a race-prepped Suzuki RM 250, but I wasn't expecting to see it put to the test against a Stark Varg.

Brown set the fastest time around the track, which is pretty flat out—as in fourth gear on a 500cc 2-stroke flat out—so if there was ever a track where the out and out power of these two brutal machines could ever be evenly tested, it's at Pastranaland. Bear in mind that Brown had just beaten Ken Roczen time around the track aboard the RMZilla, so if there was any person to put on a Stark Varg and send out to beat the behemoth, it was him.

I don't think any motocross rider, especially a 2-stroke lover, wanted to see the Stark Varg beat the RMZilla, but even after seeing Brown run just a couple of laps, Pastrana already thought it was a lost cause. But before I tell you the result, stop, place your bet, and now continue reading or just watch the video below.

The Stark Varg took the win by 1.23 seconds against one of, if not the, best put-together 500cc 2-stroke ever. But, to add insult to injury, Brown thinks he could have gone faster, quite a bit faster. Since Brown only got the chance to run a few laps on the Stark Varg, which he said he needs to ride quite differently compared to the ICE bike, because the inertia of an engine allows him to scrub easier.

Brown thinks he could've shaved about another two seconds off his time if he kept practicing, which leaves me wondering what could beat the Stark around that track? Do you reckon that a factory 450 could've taken the Stark down around Pastranaland?
