USF quarterback Byrum Brown is entering the transfer portal, according to On3. He will explore his options with one year of eligibility remaining, but likely has his next stop is already planned.
Brown has spent the past four seasons at South Florida, including a redshirt year, and leaves Tampa as one of the most productive players in program history. He appeared in 35 games for the Bulls, emerging as a dual-threat quarterback who consistently carried the offense.
Over his career, Brown completed 64.8% of his passes while averaging 219.7 passing yards per game. He threw for 61 touchdowns against 19 interceptions and added another dimension with his legs, rushing for 64.7 yards per game and 31 additional scores. In total, Brown accounted for 284.4 yards per game and 92 touchdowns, with 31 total turnovers.
Brown finished his USF career with an 18-14 record as a starter, highlighted by a 9-3 mark during the 2025 season that included notable wins over Boise State and Florida. His production and experience make him one of the more accomplished quarterbacks available as the portal opens.
