Feyenoord are expected to complete the signing of Tsuyoshi Watanabe today, while moves for Casper Tengstedt and Jordan Bos are heating up.
The Japanese central defender joins from KAA Gent for around eight million euros and will quickly join manager Robin van Persie’s squad. This means Feyenoord have secured their desired central defender, especially after Thomas Beelen’s serious leg injury.
Fortunately, the cancellation of Dávid Hancko’s transfer to Al-Nassr has no bearing on the move, as Martijn Krabbendam notes for VI.
The transfer of Casper Tengstedt is also nearing completion, with a few details reportedly still being finalised. Feyenoord are also busy with the acquisition of Australian left-back Jordan Bos from Westerlo. However, this deal is seemingly not as far ahead as Tengstedt’s or Watanabe’s.
