Bryant took a big hit.
Former Illini Pat Bryant made headlines Sunday for less than ideal reasons.
The Broncos WR was carted off the field late in Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.
Bryant took a big hit from cornerback Montaric Brown and was placed on a backboard with 31 seconds left in the Broncos’ 34-20 loss.
According to The Athletic, Bryant was taken to an ambulance and left the stadium, but head coach Sean Payton said after the game that he has movement in his hands and legs and is being treated for concussion-like symptoms.
The Broncos drafted Bryant in the third round in April’s draft. He entered Sunday’s game with 22 receptions for 305 yards this season, and added another five catches for 42 yards on Sunday.
