'Happy Gilmore 2' filming locations: Inside the golf courses featured in Adam Sandler's new movie

Here are the various filming locations for Happy Gilmore 2, and a deeper look at he featured golf courses.

Adam Sandler is heading back to the links. Nearly 30 years after the release of Happy Gilmore, the comedic actor is finally putting out the sequel with "Happy Gilmore 2" releasing on July 25. 

The movie will see Gilmore returning to golf 29 years after he won his first golf championship. Now, he is a family man and is looking to get back out onto the course to earn enough money to pay for his daughter's ballet school. 

While the majority of the first movie in the series was filmed in British Columbia, the sequel stayed in the United States. Showing more of Gilmore's adult life, "Happy Gilmore 2" was filmed predominantly in New Jersey. Based on the movie's list of locations, the film crew didn't return in person to a single spot they used in the first movie.

Where was 'Happy Gilmore 2' filmed?

'Happy Gilmore 2' was filmed predominantly in New Jersey. They also filmed some scenes in Los Angeles, California. A new movie means a new golf course to film at. While the first movie was filmed at the Swaneset Bay Resort and Country Club in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, golf scenes from the sequel were filmed at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, NJ.

'Happy Gilmore' filming locations

Fiddler's Elbow Country Club

This course was chosen as the course where they would shoot the golf scenes in the movie. It is a private club located in Bedminster, New Jersey. There are three 18-hole golf courses on the premises. The three courses are the River Course, the Meadow Course and the Forest Course. It isn't specified which course will be featured in "Happy Gilmore 2", but with several different golf scenes expected, they will likely hop around all three in the movie. There is also another golf club they filmed at. 

Montclair Golf Club

While many of the golf scenes were likely from Fiddler's Elbow since it has three courses to choose from, the production crew also filmed at Montclair Golf Club in West Orange, New Jersey. It is also a private golf club, with three courses to choose from. Two are at this Montclair location, and the other is about 10 minutes away at the Rock Spring location.

Farmview Golf Center

In the sequel, Gilmore returns to a mini golf course to work on his putting game. He meets Chubb's son, and the scenes were filmed at the Farmview Golf Center in Hackettstown, New Jersey. 

Four Restaurants Around New Jersey

Scenes from 'Happy Gilmore 2' were filmed at four different restaurants around the state. They filmed at LOKL Cafe in Morristown, Goldberg's World Famous Deli & Bagels in Millburn, Fabourg Restaurant in Montclair, and Steve's Burgers in Garfield, New Jersey.

Where was the original Happy Gilmore movie filmed?

The first iteration of the Happy Gilmore series was filmed mainly in British Columbia. The course they featured was the Swaneset Bay Resort and Country Club in Pitt Meadows. The house where his grandmother lived initially was in Vancouver. The filming also shot scenes in Furry Creek, Burnaby and Surrey, which are all in British Columbia. 

The place where Chubbs taught Gilmore to putt was at Playland Amusement Park in Vancouver.

The hospital where Gilmore ended up after fist-fighting Bob Barker is located in Coquitlam, British Columbia. 

The building also served as the retirement home where Gilmore's mother moved in, and Ben Stiller worked.
