Pittsburgh bolsters its depth ahead of a big Week 16 matchup.
The Steelers elevated cornerback Daryl Porter Jr. and offensive tackle Jack Driscoll from the practice squad to the main roster ahead of Week 16, the team announced Saturday.
Both players will revert to the practice squad following the game. The Steelers will play the Lions in Detroit on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. EST.
Porter signed with the Steelers in August and has spent the year on the practice squad. The son of Daryl Porter, a former NFL safety who also had a stint in Pittsburgh, he could see his first career NFL action on Sunday against the Lions.
Driscoll was also elevated last week for Pittsburgh’s Monday night game against the Miami Dolphins, providing offensive tackle depth following a rash of injuries at the position.
