Professional Fighter’s League (PFL) 2025 African events concluded earlier today (Sat., Dec. 20, 2025) with the PFL Africa 4 event from Sofitel Dome in Cotonou, Benin.
PFL’s expansion into Africa has been a major part of their story this year, as the promotion has run multiple tournaments spanning across different African countries. Four weight classes were highlighted in these tournaments, promoting African MMA talent on a more major platform than ever before: Heavyweight, Bantamweight, Welterweight, Featherweight, and Lightweight.
In the Bantamweight main event, South African striker Nkosi Ndebele threw down opposite countryman Boule Godogo. Ndebele entered as the more experience man and was significantly favored as a result. As expected, he didn’t have too much trouble, stopping Godogo in the second with a body kick that saw the young prospect waive off his own fight!
In the co-main event, Guinea-Bissau’s Yabna N’Tchala faced off with Angolan “Machine” Shido Boris Esperanca in the Featherweight tournament final. After a competitive start, Esperanca’s gas tank failed him, and he ultimately quit on the stool after the third round. “The Panther” improves to 13-2-1 after his stoppage victory.
In the Lightweight final, “The Marine Boxer” Cornel Thompson from Nigeria took on Benin’s own Jean Do Santos. Unfortunately, there would be no heroic moment for the local standout. The 23-year-old prospect came into this fight with serious hype after a mega flying knee, but this three round bout was pretty light on the action. The decision could have went either way, but neither fighter was particularly active with their offense.
Really, the Heavyweights stole the show at PFL Africa 4. Bably is a regular PFL event veteran who represents England, and he squared off versus the larger South African Justin Clark. That size advantage mattered little in the face of the aggressive and accurate combination punching of Bably, who scored a very quick knockout win.’
Lastly, “The Nigerian Jaguar” Wasi Adeshina defeated Canada’s “African Assassin” Alain Majorique. The opening round was a competitive standup affair, but Adeshina split open Majorique midway through the second. Majorique pleaded with the referee, but unfortunately, the bout was called off anyway.
