Wyatt Hendrickson faces Mason Parris in a potential Olympic preview while Yoel Romero returns to wrestling at RAF 4
MMA Fighting has RAF 4 results for the Hendrickson vs. Parris fight card and more from the Fishers Event Center in Indianapolis, Ind., on Saturday night.
NCAA champion Wyatt Hendrickson holds the RAF heavyweight title after scoring a win in the debut event in August but he’s looking for a bit of revenge after falling to Mason Parris in a previous encounter back in 2023. Both wrestlers could be vying for a slot on the U.S. Olympic wrestling team when the games land in Los Angeles in 2028 so this could be a preview for that future showdown.
In the co-main event, Olympic silver medalist and multi-time UFC title challenger Yoel Romero returns to wrestling when he faces Pat Downey. Originally slated to take on Bo Nickal on the card, Romero instead faces Downey, who shut down UFC middleweight Joaquin Buckley in a dominant performance back at RAF 3.
At his peak, Romero was undoubtedly one of the best wrestlers in the world, but he hasn’t competed in the sport for over 15 years after turning his full attention towards MMA.
Former UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad is also competing on the card when he faces two-time NCAA champion David Carr.
