ESPN’s Top 50 College Football Playoff list features three Texas A&M standouts, highlighting Marcel Reed, KC Concepcion, and Cashius Howell.
The CFP officially kicks off on Friday night and is filled with All-Americans and future NFL stars. With several teams across multiple leagues, there has been plenty of discussion about who the actual best players in the playoffs are. ESPN attempted to answer this by ranking the top 50 players, and a few Texas A&M Aggies made the list, with one conspicuous omission: Trey Zuhn.
On Friday, ESPN released its top 50 players in the College Football Playoff, and three Aggies made the list: Marcel Reed, KC Concepcion, and Cashius Howell. Some other notables that A&M fans might be interested in are the Miami players who appeared on the list: QB Carson Beck (No. 46), DE Akheem Mesidor (No. 31), OL Francis Mauigoa (No. 19), WR Malachia Toney (No. 15), and DL Rueben Bain (No. 9).
Not that these rankings really matter, but they do make for some great banter back-and-forth between fan bases on social media, even if the overall sentiment is "let's see what happens on the field."
