Bears vs Packers Injury Report: Both Teams Banged Up Ahead of Primetime Showdown

Both the Bears and Packers are dealing with some injury issues ahead of their huge rivalry game, and @wiltfongjr has details here.

The Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers meet on Saturday night in a game that could realistically be described as one of the most important regular-season matchups between the two franchises of all time. The playoff ramifications are huge, but so is the message each team can send to the other. The Packers want to show the world that they are still the class of the rivalry, while the Bears want to prove that there’s a new Sheriff in town.

Earlier today, each club revealed its final injury reports for the game, and both the Bears and Packers are beat up.

The Bears will be without two key components to their passing attack as both Rome Odunze (foot) and Luther Burden III (ankle) are ruled out. DJ Moore will be joined in the receiving corps by Olamide Zaccheaus, Devin Duvernay, and rookie UDFA Jahdae Walker. The Bears also have veteran Maurice Alexander and rookie UDFA JP Richardson on teh practice squad who could be called up if needed. If Duvernay is needed more on offense, then elevating Alexander to help in the return game could make sense.

Also out for the Bears is linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga (hamstring), but fellow linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (groin) is limited after logging his first full practice since his 21-day practice window opened. If he’s able, the Bears will activate him tomorrow.

The Bears list three other players as questionable: defensive end Joe Tryon-Shoyinka (personal), runing back D’Andre Swift (groin), and tight end Cole Kmet (ankle/knee).

Tryon-Shoyinka was absent today, while Kmet was full go, and Swift was limited after aggravating his groin yesterday.

The Packers haven’t announced their official list yet, but there are several players whom Packer head coach Matt LeFleur said would likely be game-time decisions, including running back Josh Jacobs and offensive lineman Zach Tom.

Once they reveal the list, we’ll share it here.

Besides Green Bay’s injury list, they also placed All-Pro Micah Parsons on injured reserve this week.
