The Trojans, facing growing injury concerns made a midseason move this week to add depth to their backcourt.
Another day, another midseason addition in the Big Ten.
USC has added Kam Woods, a guard who’d been in the transfer portal for several months after leading Robert Morris following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, according to a report from Joe Tipon of On3/Rivals. Woods later confirmed that he’d signed with the Trojans, with USC noting he’s eligible to play immediately.
The Trojans have been hit with injury trouble this season, losing two guards for several months in 5-star freshman Alijah Arenas and senior Amarion Dickerson. More recently, starting guard Rodney Rice injured his shoulder and will be out for the remainder of the season.
Woods most recently averaged 14.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 36.1 minutes per game for RMU. His lone high major stop at NC State in 2023-24 saw him average 7.4 minutes per contest.
He’ll provide some depth for a backcourt in need of it.
