NFLSU Week 15 Recap

Pray for our Cincinnati boys

The NFL Playoffs are rapidly approaching, so it’s a busy time in the NFL. A chilly Week 15 saw LSU guys experience a wide range of football emotions. We’re gonna break it all down game-by-game.

Falcons 29 at Buccaneers 28

Deion Jones was second on the team with eight tackles against the team that drafted him, the most he’s had in a game in over three years.

NFLSU Score: 3/10

Bills 35 at Patriots 31

Will Campbell is still working his way back from injury, but proved pregame that being from Monroe doesn’t mean the New England cold bothers him.

Kayshon Boutte only caught one pass, but it was a spectacular 30-yarder!

He wasn’t the only Tiger in this game to catch a huge pas from Drake Maye. Tre’Davious White snagged his first interception in two years!

Tre had two tackles as well as an additional pass breakup in the end zone. K’Lavon Chaisson played but did not record a stat. Reid Ferguson long snapped.

NFLSU Score: 7/10

Ravens 24 at Bengals 0

The good vibes from Joe Burrow’s return are now completely gone. Between turning 29, being eliminated from the playoffs for a third consecutive year and being shut out at home, Joe seems to be really going through it. He made some midweek comments about struggling to find his love for football. Then his best friend says this.

Something that didn’t help Joe rekindle that love was going 25/39 for 225 yards with two interceptions, being sacked three times and failing to score a TD for the first time in 20 starts. Ja’Marr Chase caught 10 passes for 132 yards. Joe and Ja’Marr’s first few years showed enough promise that some of us really believed the Bengals might change. For awhile, they were on the brink despite the Bengals of it all. But it only took six seasons to turn our beloved Joe into a nihilist.

Emery Jones played four snaps. We have that at least.

NFLSU Score: 5/10

Jets 20 at Jaguars 48

After a subpar start to the season and a couple of games missed to injury, Brian Thomas Jr. is getting his groove back.

BTJ caught four passes for 66 yards including that TD. Maason with two A’s (Smith) had two tackles. Mason with one A (Taylor) was out with an injury.

NFLSU Score: 5/10

Chargers 16 at Chiefs 13

Donte Jackson had one tackle. Kristian Fulton played a handful of snaps against his previous team. Austin Deculus played five snaps.

NFLSU Score: 4/10

Cardinals 20 at Texans 40

Damone Clark had four tackles while Derek Stingley Jr. and Danielle Hunter each had three, with the latter adding one sack. Ed Ingram played every snap and BJ Ojulari played 20.

NFLSU Score: 6/10

Browns 3 at Bears 31

Grant Delpit had three tackles.

NFLSU Score: 2/10

Commanders 29 at Giants 21

Cor’Dale Flott had one tackle and a pass breakup.

NFLSU Score: 2/10

Raiders 0 at Eagles 31

Devin White had a ho hum 16 tackles, a game-high. Jamal Adams had one. Jack Bech caught two passes for 17 yards. Fun fact: at two hours and 31 minutes, this was the second-quickest game in NFL HISTORY since they began tracking game lengths. Limiting the amount of time people are exposed to this Raiders team is a good thing

NFLSU Score: 5/10

Colts 16 at Seahawks 18

Anthony Bradford blocked. I try to not acknowledge non-LSU players in these recaps, but I cannot believe Philip Rivers did that. I still feel like I’m being gaslit.

NFLSU Score: 1/10

Packers 26 at Broncos 34

The Broncos have won 11 in a row and are doing so many things right. Would it be so terrible to play Sai’vion Jones here and there? Please? Pretty please?

NFLSU Score: 0/10

Titans 24 at 49ers 37

Arden Key had two tackles against one of his former teams.

NFLSU Score: 2/10

Panthers 17 at Saints 20

Damien Lewis and Foster Moreau blocked. Davon Godchaux had two tackles.

NFLSU Score: 3/10

Lions 34 at Rams 41

Omar Speights had three tackles. Miles Frazier saw some more action.

NFLSU Score: 3/10

Vikings 34 at Cowboys 26

Justin Jefferson caught two passes for 22 yards. He did have a TD called back, but he did drop a wide open one later, so fair is fair. Even if he didn’t have a big game, his quarterback figuring it out is a good sign moving forward.

NFLSU Score: 4/10

Dolphins 15 at Steelers 28

Patrick Queen led the Steelers with 11 tackles.
