The next chapter for Nike and Devin Booker has arrived. First polarizing but now beloved, the Book 1 came with all the drama (and style), which means it’s officially time for the Nike Book 2. Promising to deliver a more refined, performance-driven evolution of Booker’s signature “lifestyle-meets-hoops” philosophy, the Book 2 draws from a wider range of inspiration, which Booker worked on with Lead designer Ben Nethongkome. Here is everything you need to know about the Nike Book 2 (and why you should have them on your sneaker watch list).
Nethongkome and Booker really honed in on making the Book 2 sleeker and more responsive. While the Book 1 was heavily inspired by the “supercharged classic car” (specifically Booker’s ’72 Chevy Blazer), this second iteration draws inspiration from the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon, the influence of which you’ll see specifically with the mesh uppers. Plus, Devin Booker’s lifelong affinity for cars is at the forefront as well, with Booker being known for his love of 1970s Chevrolet.

The Design
The Tech Specs
Let’s get into the technical elements, shall we? For starters, there is the Forefront Zoom Air, which moves the Air Zoom bag to the forefront and is designed for players whose game is rooted in explosive movements. Additionally, there is the incorporation of the Cushlon 3.0 midsole, which the brand says offers a softer and more responsive ride compared to the previous model. Additional features include a plush foam sock liner and a modernized, molded upper.
Key Debut Colorways
The rollout focuses on Booker’s 11-season journey in Phoenix. Below are the three colorways.
- “Rising” (Black/Orange)
- “Phoenix” (Orange)
- “Spiridon” (Metallic Silver)
Booker told Nike in a statement, “A big thing for me was feeling the court and being a bit lower to the ground.” He continued, “A lot of inspiration came from classic shoes. One that comes to mind for me is the Air Zoom Spiridon. With the early styles, I wanted to pay homage to Phoenix by starting with orange and black for the Phoenix and Rising colorways, giving fans something to rock at each game.
Pricing
Per the brand, the Nike Book 2 footwear and apparel will be available in January 2026 at nike.com and select retail locations. The retail price is set at $145.
The Bottom Line
This is a shoe you need to cop for your 2026 rotation.
