Juventus have identified Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund as a potential target if they fail to land Randal Kolo Muani (h/t Corriere dello Sport).
The Bianconeri are keen on extending the stay of Kolo Muani, who moved from Paris Saint-Germain in January on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season.
But there hasn’t been any significant development in talks with PSG, who are demanding around €50 million for the French attacker.
The Old Lady are only interested in another loan with a non-obligatory buy-out clause, whereas PSG insist on a mandatory purchase.
Therefore, the Bianconeri have started looking for alternatives, with Hojlund emerging as a top contender.
The former Atalanta centre-forward is not part of manager Ruben Amorim’s plans and is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The Red Devils are pushing to get the Danish star off their books to make room for another attacker, having already acquired Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo in this transfer window.
AC Milan and Inter Milan have been credited with an interest in Hojlund, but neither have submitted a concrete proposal.
While United are demanding around €60 million for Hojlund, a loan move could also be feasible.
The Danish international would be desperate to revitalise his career after a lacklustre spell at Manchester United, and Juventus could be a great destination.
Following the acquisition of Jonathan David on a free transfer, Juve have prioritised a new No.9 as a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic.
They are keen on offloading the Serbian off their books after he turned down an extension offer. He is no longer in the club’s plans.
However, proposals have been scarce for Vlahovic, whom Juve value at around €30 million.
Juve have also added Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez and PSG’s Goncalo Ramos to their wishlist.
