Brighton & Hove Albion have revealed the news that attacker Nikita Parris has left the club at the end of her contract.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Seagulls this morning.

The 31-year-old England international joined Brighton & Hove Albion last summer after leaving former club Manchester United. She made 28 appearances for The Seagulls in all competitions in which she scored 12 goals. Parris played a major role in Brighton & Hove Albion’s successful season under new boss Dario Vidošić.

With Parris out of contract this summer, it has been revealed that she has not signed a new deal and is therefore moving on to a new challenge.

After the player’s departure was announced, Brighton & Hove Albion boss Vidošić said “Nikita has played a vital role in helping us achieve our highest-ever WSL finish. Her professionalism, both on and off the pitch, has been outstanding and her experience has been hugely influential within the squad – especially in guiding some of our younger players.

“Her goals and tactical awareness have offered consistency and leadership in the final third. We’re truly grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her last season and wish her nothing but the best in the next stage of her career.”

Parris is the tenth player to leave Brighton & Hove Albion this summer.
