Everton have completed the signing of experienced full-back Maz Pacheco on a free transfer.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Toffees this morning.
The 26-year-old moves to Everton after leaving former club Aston Villa earlier this summer. Pacheco was The Villans’ longest-serving player after joining the club from West Ham United in summer 2021. The defender made 90 appearances for Aston Villa in all competitions, scoring three goals.
Pacheco has also featured for Liverpool, Doncaster Rovers Belles and Reading in her career to date.
On the international stage, Pacheco was involved with England in her youth. She represented The Young Lionesses at various levels. She is now a Philippine international.
After signing on with Everton, Pacheco said “It is amazing to join Everton. To be at such a historic club is an unbelievable feeling. I wanted to stay in the WSL and give it my all.
“I have matured as a player and for Everton to be the club to bring me back home is fantastic. To be close to family, to have friends already in the squad and to be able to come to play at Goodison Park is amazing.”
Pacheco is Everton’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window.
