Manchester United’s hopes of swiftly offloading Jadon Sancho have suffered a blow due to Juve’s latest manoeuvre.

The winger spent the last campaign at Chelsea but failed to secure a permanent transfer to West London. The 25-year-old showed promising signs early on, and was even lauded as an ‘amazing’ player by Arsenal legend Ian Wright. However, his levels went south in the second half of the season, convincing the Blues to pay a £5 million penalty to relieve themselves of the obligation to buy set at £25 million.

Like four other Man United stars, Sancho has been considered surplus to requirements, as Ruben Amorim has no desire to bet on a revival. Therefore, he has been told to find himself a new club, unless he wants to spend the remaining year in his contract on the sidelines.

Sancho told he must leave Man United for good

Luckily for the England international, he found himself a top suitor in the shape of Juventus who have been making significant progress in their talks with both the player’s entourage and Man Utd.

Nevertheless, Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reveals that the Bianconeri have now decided to put the transfer ‘on hold’.

As the source explains, Juventus are now set to announce the capture of Francisco Conceicao who will complete a permanent transfer after impressing last season while on loan from Porto.

The Serie A giants were able to make room for the Portuguese’s arrival by selling Samuel Mbangula to Werder Bremen – yet another transfer that will be announced in the coming hours.

Hence, in order to make a final push for Sancho, Juventus must offload another winger, as it is paramout for the club to maintain balanced accounts.

What Juventus must do to sign Jadon Sancho

The main candidate is Timothy Weah, who has reportedly agreed terms with Olympique Marseille. However, the Ligue 1 giants have yet to present the Old Lady with an offer.

Nico Gonzalez is yet another Juventus winger who has been made available. He has attracted the interest of Inter Milan and Atalanta, while Fulham became the latest club linked with his services.

Therefore, it remains to be seen whether the Man Utd outcast will wait for Juve to sort out their business or reflect on other possibilities.

Besiktas has been suggested as a possibility for Sancho, who would reunite with his former United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, while Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce is also lurking.
