Rising sophomore Brysen Wright made waves at the NFL Flag Championships in Canton. Here's the one-handed catch that started it all.
One NFL Flag football player scored some national attention for his performance during last week's tournament.
During The NFL Flag Championships in Canton over the weekend, Mandarin High School rising sophomore Brysen Wright blew past three defenders and dove for an impressive one-handed catch in the end zone.
The NFL called it "A catch you have to see to believe" in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).
“It’s just a blessing to come out here and win with my guys and to bring it back to the city,” Wright told nfl.com. “Getting noticed by [NFL players] at a super young age is already a blessing.”
His team, the Jaguars Elite 14U, went on to win the NFL Flag Championships, with Wright being named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

Who is Brysen Wright?
The one-armed catch wasn't Wright's only play that garnered national attention during the championship event. He also nabbed a midfield interception while on defense. The play received more than 100,000 views on the NFL's X page.
"He's getting it done on both sides of the ball," the league said in its post.
Rivals, a company ranking football prospects, currently rates Wright as a five-star recruit for the class of 2028.
Wright has already received offers from multiple high-profile college football programs, including the University of Miami, Florida State University and the University of Tennessee, according to ESPN. He also announced an offer from Ohio State earlier this year in a post on his Instagram page.
"Extremely blessed to receive another offer from Ohio State University!" he said in the post.
