Ohio State offensive lineman Ian Moore is asking for prayers for former teammate George Fitzpatrick, a Kansas State transfer.

Ohio State offensive lineman Ian Moore is asking for prayers for a former teammate.

In a July 19 post to X, Moore said he did not want to go into details but asked for people to pray for George Fitzpatrick, an offensive lineman who transferred to Kansas State after helping the Buckeyes win the national championship for the 2024 season.

"I know it’s a bit late and people might not receive this, but I just wanted yall to keep our former buckeye George Fitzpatrick in your prayers," Moore wrote in a post published at 11:44 p.m. "I’m not going to go deep into it for respects of his family, but please pray for a speedy recovery and no complications. God Bless."

A native of Englewood, Colorado, Fitzpatrick signed with Ohio State as part of the 2022 class and redshirted that season. He played in three games in 2023 before appearing in all 16 games in 2024 as a reserve offensive lineman and as part of the line for both extra points and field goals.

Fitzpatrick announced his plans to transfer during the playoffs but remained with the team through the title game. He was ranked as a three-star transfer prospect and the No. 755 overall player in the portal according to 247Sports.com.

As a high school recruit, Fitzpatrick was a four-star player, the No. 167 national prospect and the No. 15 offensive tackle recruit according to 247Sports.
