Marcus Rashford successfully completes Barcelona medicals, announcement imminent

According to an update shared by Mundo Deportivo, it has been learned that Marcus Rashford has officially completed his medical at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, taking one step closer towards joining Barcelona on loan. 

The final announcement from the club is expected in the next few hours, marking the start of a new chapter for the English forward.

It is said that manager  Hansi Flick, sporting director Deco, and club executive Joan Soler were personally present to welcome Rashford. 

The trio reportedly expressed their excitement about bringing him into the squad, believing his arrival will boost the team’s quality. 

Despite the first-team players being on a break, Flick made sure to meet Rashford face-to-face after previously speaking with him over the phone.

Rashford is expected to take part in his first training session with Barcelona on Tuesday. His initial workout will begin in the morning and continue into the afternoon, giving him the chance to get a feel for his new environment. 

Since the Barça players were not present during his arrival, Rashford has yet to meet his new teammates, but he will get his first taste of the dressing room atmosphere during Tuesday’s training.

The official signing ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday at Spotify Camp Nou, where Rashford will be joined by club president Joan Laporta. 

The Englishman will also speak to the media for the first time as a Barcelona player after his presentation.

Once everything is finalised, Rashford is set to travel with Barcelona for their upcoming Asian tour. 

His debut for the club could come during the trip, although his match fitness will determine whether he plays right away. The club will assess his condition in training before making a final decision.
