Talented, consistent Robinson is Daily Tribune's 2024-25 girls athlete of the year

In three sports, Inland Lakes' Chloe Robinson shined. As a result, Robinson is the Tribune's 2024-25 high school girls athlete of the year.

INDIAN RIVER – It’s nice to be talented, but you also have to put the work in.

And when you’re competing in games or events, you’re hoping to consistently be at your best.

Perhaps no one else in the Cheboygan area provided more consistency in her respective sports than Inland Lakes’ Chloe Robinson.

When Robinson was playing volleyball, she was consistently one of the Bulldogs’ best players.

When she was on the basketball court, she was exceptional on most nights.

When she was competing in track and field, she placed high at most meets.

As a result of her consistently excellent performances across three different sports, Robinson has been named the Daily Tribune’s 2024-25 Cheboygan Daily Tribune high school sports girls athlete of the year.

Why I chose Robinson: One of the best all-around area athletes in recent years, Robinson took home the Daily Tribune’s 2025 girls basketball player of the year honor as well as being named the Tribune’s 2025 girls track and field athlete of the year. Robinson made the all-Ski Valley team in all three sports she played, including first team accolades in basketball, and later earned all-state recognition in hoops. In track, she qualified for the state finals in the high jump and a pair of sprint relay events, while also winning the Ski Valley title in the high jump. There aren’t many athletes who can say they earned an area player of the year honor in two different sports, but Robinson can.

Inland Lakes three-sport star Chloe Robinson has been named the Cheboygan Daily Tribune's 2024-25 area high school girls athlete of the year.

What makes Robinson elite: A talented and tenacious competitor, Robinson has continued to make her mark as a great area athlete thanks to a dogged work ethic. As an inside presence for the Bulldogs on the basketball court, Robinson made it difficult for opponents on most nights. Just ask Inland Lakes coach Daryl Vizina, who had heavy praise for his star player following the season.

What’s next for Robinson: She’s accomplished a ton already during her career, but Robinson will have one more chance to compete at an elite level when she’s back for her senior year with the Bulldogs in 2025-26. Robinson will look to lift Inland Lakes in volleyball, basketball and track. If the last three years were any indication, Robinson will likely deliver another terrific year as a senior.
