Gotta love Kon.
Kon Knueppel has Charlotte Hornets fans ready for it to be basketball season.
The No. 4 overall pick out of Duke has shone brightly in Las Vegas Summer League, which is reason enough to be excited.
But even more so, he showed some serious grit during the Summer League playoffs.
While up 25 in the semifinals, Knueppel dove on the floor for a loose ball. It resulted in stitches.
Knueppel made it back to play in the final, having to don a Hornets-colored headband to protect the wounded area.
He seemed plenty happy to be right back out there playing ball.
Kon said he had to get five stitches yesterday for diving on a loose ball up 25. That's a winner right there

The Hornets already have LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller. If Knueppel can join them as an effective-out-of-the-gates third perimeter piece, that's a team that can win a solid total of games in the banged-up Eastern Conference.
And Charlotte already knows Knueppel will put his body on the line and will play through pain. That's great news for the Hornets.
