Although Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is not able to participate in the WNBA All-Star festivities, she still finds herself making headlines. Clark received a league-high 1,293,526 votes from fans, which gave her the nod to be an All-Star captain opposite of Napheesa Collier. While this year's All-Star weekend had the makings of a special one, being that it was in Indiana, Clark suffered a groin injury earlier this week that sidelined her for the 3-point contest and All-Star Game.

She still made sure to support her colleagues from around the league. And when she arrived at the arena on Friday, a brief interaction between her and her longtime boyfriend, Connor McCaffrey, had the internet buzzing.

Clark, who somehow manages to lead a pretty private life despite how famous she is, seemed not to want to exchange kisses with McCaffrey in front of the media. While this simply could just be an instance of not wanting to give a public display of affection, fans have deemed it an awkward interaction.
"'no PDA, yo,'” joked one commenter.
"Tough gig for homie," said another.
"Awkward lol," quipped a third.
"That was awkward af," observed another.
"her looking off his kiss is frying me," said one fan.
"Not exactly Coldplay concert level loving," joked another.
When Clark will return to action is unknown. Indiana is off until Tuesday, but the absence is likely to be much longer. She has already missed 11 games this season due to two separate groin injuries and a quad injury. The latest groin injury is an aggravation of the one that sidelined her for more than two weeks in late June and early July. On the year, Clark is averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists.
The Fever's next game is on the road against the New York Liberty.
